The Diary of Elly Kedward

book: Day 1: Dear diary, OMG! Happy birthday to me! All my friends showed up! Here's a list of my presents. 1. This diary! 2. My cake! 3. Momma made me a doll from scratch!!!!

Just as the sprinkle begins to turn into a downpour, you see the powertank in the distance

book: Day 20: I told Momma how much I love my doll! She's like my little baby! Momma says one day, I can have a real life baby of my own!

book: Day 30: I named my baby! its Lila! I love her so much! I can't wait to be a mom someday

book: Day 412: I saw a someone new at church today! I think his family just moved here. but he's my age! maybe we can be friends!

book: Day 670: Today Rusty asked me to be his girlfriend! CAN YOU BELIEVE IT!?!?!?

book: Day 710: Rusty made some new friends today. i dont like them.

book: Day 730: Rusty showed me a secret place today. he said it can be OUR secret now. i think i love him Diary. if i have a baby of my own someday, i want it to be with Rusty

book: Day 749: How do i help him Diary? he keeps going to hang out with those boys. they steal from the butcher when he's not looking. i know! Rusty told me about it!

book: Day 750: That's it. tomorrow I'm going to talk some sense into that boy!

book: Day 751: I think that went better than expected. he agreed with everything i said! truly i am blessed to have so much in my life!

book: Day 759: Dear Diary. I have returned. The light in my life has died. Nothing is as it seemed. The world is dark and black and full of evil. I fear now that I am too.

book: Day 801: Dear Diary. I have found new resolve. please note the following names: 3. Joshua Dreon, 2. Michael Willard, 3. Rusty Parr.

book: Day 823: The doctor said I can't have a baby anymore.

book: Day 859: I have read and read and read. A book from the library was of particular interest. The Witch of Broken Forest.

book: Day 936: Dear Diary. I have packed. I have prepared. Today i set out to find the Witch. My only comfort in this world is that you are here to accompany me.

book: Day 937: The Broken forest is thick and difficult for me to traverse. My resolve is firm. Never have i known such vim and vigor. Truly, revenge is a volatile fuel.

book: Day 940: I am out of what little food i have brought. is it in me to hunt? can i kill to survive? the men think nothing of such matters.

book: Day 941: That was good. I am alive.

book: Day 955: Bugs mostly. The rabbit was hard to do but after that... i got a coyote. learning it's easier to feel sorrow for dead things on a full belly.

book: Day 962: I SAW HER. SHE'S BEENWATCHINGME!!!

book: Day 963: Dear Diary. Today is a good day. Today we take another important step. The witch has been watching me. she sees promise. I believe she can help us. i KNOW she can help me.

there are many pages in between with various thoughts and stories. these are all the pages that seem to carry importance. after this the pages continue but are just black scrawling and very faintly you can see some names are printed 1 per page of black scrawl after about 50 pages. they don't appear to be written, they appear perfectly printed with no flourish of the hand that may have scripted them.
